What do you suggest the width of the granite should be on the "knee wall" above the area over the countertop where the sink and dishwasher will be installed. That area separates the kitchen from the breakfast room. I don't plan to have bar stools there as the island is 8 feet long but I'd like it to be wide enough to use it when we entertain. Do you think 12 -14 inches would be sufficient? According to the builder, the corbels are there if they are needed. If anyone has pics, I'd love to see them.

Thanks, Eileen
