Tile flooring for Kitchen

This is the tile floor we picked out for our new kitchen, we plan to do a checkerboard style with cream and a light green. Our old builder (whom we let go) suggested this brand, I saw the samples and really liked them, but now I'm wondering if this will really be good for a kitchen, with spills and things. ESPECIALLY my husband's habit of dripping tea! The samples we saw had a semi-rough glaze on them, which is what kind of bothered me in regards to stains. Anyone have this brand? Below the pictures of the tiles, it tells you about them:
