What is the color of your walls? Do you have stainless steel appliances? If not what color?

You could carry the soapstone up the walls. Perhaps with a cream glass tile accent border part way up.

I saw one large glass tile on line that was called cappochino. It was dark brown--almost black with streaks of a reddish brown that would pick up the cherry and the color of the counter.

If you have stainless steel appliances you could go with stainless steel tiles.

or you could match the tile to your cherry, perhaps with a small insert of individual cream and gray tiles.

Or you could take a different tack altogether and go with a tone of your wall color, since you counter or cabinet colors are all neutrals almost any color will go

If you can take samples of everything in to the tiles store when you choose and look on line for possibilities
