cooktop with grill

I have been living in my under-construction house for some time now. I bought a jenn aire cooktop with 2 burners and a grill on ebay. I removed the downdraft exhaust and use the jenn aire as my temporary cooktop. I grill every day, and could not imagine how to cook without it. BUT it is too small to be the final cooktop. So what cooktop should I buy? I was thinking of a viking, but this forum has convinced me otherwise. I want the grill to be gas, not electric or infrared, unless someone can explain to me that these can sear a steak like a flame can. I do not want aluminum: stainless or cast iron are OK. I would like to convert the grill to a griddle for breakfast cooking if that is possible. I want whatever I buy to be robust and not require repairs. The ovens are separate, so it is just the cooktop I need help with. Could those of you who grill steaks on your cooktops please tell me what you like and dislike about your cooktop?
