I also went with all drawers and am very happy with my decision. I have a dish drawer with no organizer or posts and it works fine. Also attached are pics of the two drawers in my prep area. Have fun!

For flatware, I like the metal mesh basket flatware holders from BB&B that fit in the drawer. To clean the drawer, you just lift the whole thing out and the dust and crumbs that may have fallen in slip through and you can easily clean the drawer.

Hi, RDW. This is fun time, but most of it'll be right at home. You'll notice that Marcolo's link has almost nothing to do with yet another shopping trip. A few inserts are prizes, but a lot are unnecessary obstacles to good use. Some flexibility isn't just good, it's required for good function.

That link does cover almost everything, so I'll just offer to think in terms of point of first use and, since not everything can be stored right there, in terms of priority--the more often an item is used, the closer it gets stored to point of first use.

Long ago I visited someone with a very small kitchen who stored her salad spinner on a shelf by a stack of 4 plates and 4 bowls. I was clueless then, but now I understand completely. Smart lady.

I LOVE this thing - heard about it on here actually. It got my knives off of the counter and only took up half my drawer.

Plus putting the knives in there is just plain fun. You just slap them into place!

Oh how I love my spice drawer. Once my label maker is unpacked, those clunky blue labels will be replaced. (Now the tins are nestled offset from one another.)
