Looking for Deep Red Pillows

I painted my dining room Rasp. Truffle and my living room is Rest. Hardware Latte (creamy coffe color with lots of milk). I want to bring some red accents into the living room and sunroom but having trouble finding pillows that don't scream "Christmas"! Bought some from Pottery Barn in cherry red and they are too orangish. Same for Crate and Barrel in both their linen and velvet. I also am returning two from Pier 1 cause the material looks a bit cheap (too shiny) but the red was right. Now I have two from Country Curtains that are a bit too burgundy velvet but seem the best so far. Of course lighting effects both the red in the dining room and the red in the pillows. Any other suggestions of where to find nice deep red pillows?.

I don't know what style you are looking for, but I purchased a Lacefield Design pillow locally last week. Actually two - one for me and one for DD2. They are gorgeous and well-made. You can order directly online. (If you like, you need to bookmark the shopping section - hard to find!)

Allison, thank you! That is a great link for pillows, so many gorgeous ones. I've been looking forever for pretty throw pillows and having positive feedback before I buy is a real plus!

    Allison, those pillows are beautiful.

They have my exact ikat pattern (den WTs) but only in one colorway. :( Sometimes I wish I wouldn't pick such difficult fabrics to work with, but I love them.

The floral applique in cheetah and orange looks like a contender.

Do you have HomeGoods or one of the larger Marshalls near you? HomeGoods is always loaded with pillows.

Or, you could consider making one yourself! Even if you don't sew, there are fusibles closures that make it easy. Also, I remember that long ago QVC sold pillow forms that basically had a slit in the middle, and you just tucked the ends of the fabric in the slit. It was a gathered-in-the-center look, but I'd just flip it around so that was in the back.

You're all welcome. The two patterns I purchased and several I saw in the stores are not even shown on their website. I haven't tried looking for other online sources. Need to order 1 more for great room sofa.

How about Beautiful Pillows and Home?
A huge selection of rather expensive pillows:) I opened to the reds page, but they have decent search options too.

Believe it or not, Crate and Barrel has multiple shades of red pillows right now; maybe its seasonal. Good pricing, too.

    Hi all,

Didn't realize pillows could cost that much? Yikes. Love some of those on the BeautifulPillowsandHome site. Of course, the ones I love are close to $300.00! The other site had some nice also, but not too many with red. I did love the floral applique ones. Wish they had a bit of red in them.
I bought from Crate and Barrel. The colors are deceiving. IN fact, when I bought them in person the salesman said "oh are you decorating your house for the HOlidays"? I should have taken that as a hint cause they did scream Christmas red at home.
I love HOme Goods but due to the Holiday they were low on pillows. Will keep checking them out. I have been considering making them myself. I am not great at sewing, but I may be able to do that. It seems like the least expensive choice and guaranteed to get me the right red. Thanks to all and if you see anything let me know. They don't have to be all red. My couches are expresso leather in living room, and khaki/beige with green hue in the sunroom.

scanmike pillows and simple cushions are about the easiest things you can make so if you have a machine I'd make them. It's all sewing straight lines so I'd suggest you just buy a fabric you like and go for it. If you get stuck you can post over at the sewing forum and you'll get plenty of help and once you've made one you'll be wondering why you ever bought them they really are that simple.

Mom2girls, thanks for the Kohl's link. More in my price range and some look pretty good.
Trancegemini, I think I will give it a try. I have done a little sewing so I think I can give it a shot. Thanks for the words or encouragement!
