Direction of floor boards -angled hallway

We have a small lobby area with a single step up to a study and an angled hallway. The 130mm (5inch) brushbox floorboards will run across the lobby area. We are uncertain what to do with the floorboards once they go up the step and into the angled section of the hallway. Do we just keep them going the same way or do we keep the going perpendicular to the walls and mitre the ends of the floorboards where they have to turn? Attached photo is of the space with the plywood down ready to lay the floorboards. The foreground is the lobby section which will have the floor boards running across. The hallway only goes to the garage, so it is not a really important space, but we will see it everyday and don't want to regret our decision. Thanks!
