It seems you have hit on good compromises. I could love working in this kitchen.

Oops...Just noticed one thing that I'm concerned about. Where are your dishes and glassware being stored? I don't see anything large enough near the dishwasher to do that job. If it were mine, I'd shift the sink down, extend that little bit of wall more to put a dish storage hutch that is 3 1/2 - 4 ft wide. That idea might require extending that bar section so that it's even with the cabs on the opposite wall.

I am LOVING this plan. One more thing. How wide is the aisle in front of your range? I like that aisle to be the narrowest in my kitchen, but it looks like your widest. I prefer my island close to my stove so that I can make a simple turn to go back and forth, with no steps. The aisle in front of my stove is 36". Mine is a rangetop, so I know you might want more room to open the ovens...But I'd still keep it to 42" or so.
