need advise quickly!

Hi, I had 37" high base cabinets put in, thats including countertops. I also am installing undercabinet lighting. I didn't realize when I specified undercabinet lighting that they would add 1 1/2" needed space between the counter and the uppers. Now that the cabinets have been installed they are 2 1/2" higher from the floor than the normal height which would be 54". They are now 56 1/2" to the cabinet which makes the upper cabinets really high. I know it doesn't seem like much but it is. I don't like them that high! I feel like I need to be a giant. I didn't realize the ramifications affecting the uppers with those choices. Have any of you installed higher base cabinets with under cabinet lighting. How did you handle this problem or how would you handle this problem? Thanks so much for any feedback.
