I'm just in the planning phase of my kitchen remodel but I have a question.

I'm planning to have white (or possible glaze) on all cabinets except the center island with the cooktop. That will be a medium cherry color. I also have a second island that is for eating and seperates the living room from the kitchen.

My question is about countertops. I REALLY REALLY want to go with a wood counter for the outer island (no food prep), so should I pick one surface for the rest?
