I really like the looks of Dino's sinks!

I don't have an installed sink to show you, but I did put some serious thought into this issue, as I am intending to use a sink with a rear corner drain. You can rotate the garbage disposal and the P-trap to try to match the drain. For my garbage disposal, rotating it moves the GD outlet on a radius of about 4.75". Rotating a standard P-trap moves it on a radius of about 3". Thus, by combinations of those two, you can move the outlet to drain a total of +/- 7.75". That is the good news. The bad news is that it looks like the drain in Dino's sink is 9" off center, so this may not be enough.

However, I am sure there is a solution. One that comes to mind is to extend the outlet from the GD a few inches, so that it moves on a larger radius.

If you don't get the requested picture from this thread, I would recommend two steps. One, I would post this question (not necessarily a request for pictures, but a description of the problem) on the plumbing forum here. Second, I would ask Dino! He must know how this is done. He can probably show you pictures.

I did ask Dino if he had any pictures but he didn't. I'm pretty sure the plumber should be able to figure this out once he looks at it, but I did tell him to move the rough in to right side of the cabinet before they close up the wall.

Oh, yes! If the walls are open, then by all means move the rough-in!

I think your plumber if he knows what he is doing, should figure something out. Or you should hire a different plumber. I previously had a 6" deep, center-drain sink. I installed in its place a 9" deep sink with a corner drain, and a large batch-feed disposal. My plumber didn't bat an eye, and simply did whatever was needed - I am sorry, I don't know what it was, but he didn't make a big deal about it, he just noted it to me when he saw the sink. So it couldn't have been too challenging. He didn't even charge me for extra time to do it.

I was only looking at the month and day, not the year, and I noticed we were going back in time with your post, Poohpup! I know this is the time of year we "fall back", but I didn't know we could reverse time to that extent! LOL!

Below my sunk, I'd like to have 2 drawers in the base cabinetry under a top faux drawer front. From browsing here and on related Houzz threads, it appears some people have developed base cabinet configuration strategies that allow grouping of undercabinet equipment and plumbing to minimize the space devoted to plumbing and related equipment, thereby providing room to store cleaning supplies in the base cabinetry.

I want to avoid having to squat, reach and lift to access items stored under my sink. (My trash pullouts are in adjacent base cabinetry, so those are already handled.)

• @poohpup I know this is an old thread but it’s relevant to my current kichen renovation. I just bought a 36” top mount s/s apron sink from Dino. If you’re still active here, may I please know what the large white item is under your sink cabinet on the left side of your top photo?

I’m working with our custom kitchen design firm to configure a 2-drawer bank of base cabinetry under our sink. I will use an insinkerator compact disposal with a EWS from Dino that dispenses filtered water from a Waterstone 9350 faucet, which allows us to avoid the need for a separate filtered water faucet.

I’d like to maximize the capacity of our two sink base cabinetry drawers for storing cleaning products (trash pullouts are in an adjacent drawer bank). Our Rachiele sink has drain placement offset to the right side, approximately 6” from the right interior basin wall and approximately 6” from the rear sink basin wall.

Would appreciate hearing about specific plumbing layout strategy for a Rachiele sink that keeps EWS, disposal, and plumbing in rear right area thereby maxmizing space dedicated to what would normally be a pair of U-shaped drawers (if we were doing a center drain, but modified for offset drain placement in rear right area instead).

In this case, the cabinetry is being custom made to best accomplish the goals we have for the base cabinetry space below the sink. We specifically want drawers there rather than the more commonly used cabinet doors.

The plumber will not be involved until after the cabinetry has been built and installed. However, the cabinetry design is being done now.

There appears to be a group of homeowners on Houzz who are extraordinarily devoted and enthusiastic about their Rachiele custom sink experiences. Houzz discussion forum posters are the ones who first brought the Rachiele sink experience to my attention. I'd never heard of them until I read posts about them here from very satisfied customers.

I am hoping someone from that group of owners might be willing to share their experience in this particular area with me so I will be better equipped to provide our kitchen design firm with a strategy that's been road-tested, so to speak, when it comes to specifying and designing our custom cabinetry for the area below the sink. The cabinetry design piece needs to be done now, whereas the plumber who ends up doing this work will be called in after the cabinetry is installed.

If you know someone in Southeast Florida with experience working with this company's product, I would appreciate a referral. I haven't even seen a Rachiele sink in person, so I ordered based on the enthusiastic endorsements of Houzz homeowners who have one.

There is a reason this isn't commonly done; it's not a good idea. You may get some pull-outs, but that's about it. Don't be surprised if your plumber is unable to get your drawers reinstalled when he's finished and leaves them out for your cabinetmaker, who should have know better, to figure out.

There are some Rachiele sink owners on Houzz forums who have, like us, chosen drawers for this space. It's frequently done with European cabinetry lines. I'm hoping some of those people who have made this work in their kitchens will see this and share their experience with us!

I found a nice compact3/4 HP Insinkerator on Amazon. I have four of these in my home.

I had this same model compact disposal in my last home. Seems like they no longer have them. Perhaps someone still has some old new stock in their inventory.

I didn't get a disposal when installing our Rachiele sink because I've never found one that lasts more than a few months--regardless of price. The Rachiele copper sink has been great--installed in 2017.
