Tiler left silicone on my Soapstone

My tile person left yesterday and my beautiful new (raw) soapstone now has these black lacquered appearing blotches and I’m
Beside myself. Any stone prefabricates out there or others with advice?

Well I just learned something that I hope may be helpful to others. You see, I have PTSD from this kitchen job and I panicked. I also rely maybe too heavily on AI when I’m panicking. My tiler just left after using warm water on a microfiber cloth to remove “soapy residue” from top of the countertop. So you can disregard this post which I would delete if I knew how. 🤦‍♀️

Glad everything was ok. I hope to see more of that pretty soapstone and your kitchen, too. You mention "the other thread"....do you already have another thread started? If so, can you link it here?

As a soapstone fabricator, I’ve seen this before. Soapstone can darken unevenly as it develops its natural patina, especially early on. If there is any caulk residue present, I’d recommend using a lacquer cleaner first to remove the caulk. Then, I’d try our The Original Soapstone Wax™ or The Original Soapstone Oil™ to even out the color before doing anything aggressive. Both were developed specifically for this purpose. The Original Soapstone Wax™ and The Original Soapstone Oil™ can help restore a more even, beautiful finish.
