What color is your control panel? When we re-did our kitchen, we did all new high end appliances with the exception of our almost new Sears DW which had been purchased in almond to match the almond apps we were getting rid of. Our Viking stove is SS, the Sub-Zero has wood panels on the front, and the DW has a wood panel with the almond control panel showing. Our cabs are shaker maple, counters are granite mix of tan, burnt orange, black and white. Walls are BM Powell Buff. I think with so much light wood, buff walls, echo in the counter, the control panel looks fine. No, if I'd dumped the DW, I wouldn't have chosen this way, but to us, it looks fine, and I saved $ not having to replace the DW. A pittance, since we threw buckets of $ at this kitchen, but every bit helps, and I really do like the way this DW performs.

Our DW is white and we will be getting SS appliances. We are looking to get a panel (SS) for the DW, but the controls will be seen. They are white. Someone at SEARS told me maybe a autobody shop, will be able to redo it, but wasn't sure of expense. May look into it.
