Personally, I think too much stress is put into matching hardware. I think if it's silver, then brushed chrome/stainless should work well with polished. Oil rubbed bronze is a neutral and should work with everything. I would leave out the 80's brass, however.

There are too many other things to worry over!

Hi Demtuc! We agree with Karen that it's definitely okay to mix hardware and lighting finishes. Just keep in mind the balance of the entire space, including the addition or subtraction of more temporary items like appliances, island furniture (if any) and kitchen decor, and try to avoid "over-mixing." Good luck with your new kitchen!

What finish have you chosen for the faucet? My recommendation is that you go ORB on the hardware and faucet and nickel on the light fixture.
