No, you're not stupid. Their whole clock/programming thing is a lot more complicated than it needs to be. I set the time and I use the timer. I try not to touch it other than that and pray for the power not to go out so I don't have to figure out how to set it again. Power outage a couple weeks ago and I had to scramble for the stupid book because I've come to depend on that clock. Clock setting should be EASY!

Ok, rant over. Other than the clock, I love this darn stove! Press the two little clock symbol buttons, then press the +/- to set the time. Let go when you're done. Press the hand button. That should be it.

Oh yeah, before you do any baking, get an oven thermometer. I have the double and the little oven is off quite a bit. Haven't checked the big oven yet. It still makes the best bread ever.

I just love your range and the cutie pie helping you cook! What is it about clocks that make it so difficult to set something so simple? I am thankful my Bosch range is relatively easy, but to figure out the timer? I gave up and just bought one for the counter. I like to see how many minutes I have left and the Bosch doesn't do that--at least I haven't figured it out yet.

I almost bought the PT Cruiser--know why? (It was a fun car to drive) The clock was so easy to set! It looks like a clock and all you do is turn the knob! Oh, I do long for the old days. I still can't figure out the clock on my Honda....

I thougth it was me...set the darn thing and an hour later noticed it was WAY off. Couldn't reset it for the life of me. Then our power went out and I set the clock EXACTLY how the manual says (and how smilingjudy said) and now it's dead on. Still have no idea what I did wrong the first time. I hate to say it, but maybe flip your circuit thing and try again??

And by the way, I LOVE the Fratelli. I have the single oven Evolution and haven't noticed any issue with inconsistent temps.

Thanks janefan--that's exactly what's happening--I'm setting as instructed but it's way off within the hour--I'll try tripping the circuit when I get home and start over again.

Smilingjudy's instructions worked...but only after I tripped the circuit as janefan suggested. So that's the ticket...

I've got an oven thermometer in right now while I roast chicken--we'll see if the oven temp is in sync or not...

Wow, that's strange. But good to know! We may all be tripping our circuits every time daylight savings switches. I'll have to remember this for sure.

UGH!!!! Berf, what were your results with the oven temp/oven thermometer? So annoyed right now, so I'm sorry if I sound crazy, but I just tried to loosen several gingerbread house molds only to discover that some hadn't even baked all the way. I'm putting them back in, but it's been over an hour they've been out (they're mostly for decoration, though). I also made some brownie-type bars earlier and just cut them to discover they probably should have stayed in longer. So...

Hi Janefan-sorry just now seeing this--
It seems my oven temp is running pretty true...best I can tell with my oven thermometer. I have not tried any baking --only roasting (and a great deal of it) so far with success.
My only complaint so far--the convection fan is humming louder than I think it should. I think it needs to be adjusted/balanced so there's a guy coming out Monday to check it out for me.
But so far I'm just loving my stove...

I am forwarding this thread to my husband who has been totally frustrated over his inability to set the darn clock on our Fratelli! He'll feel so much better!

Add me to the list of people mind boggled by this. I love my stove too but the clock!!!!! I just tripped my breaker and pulled the darn thing out and unplugged it. We'll see in an hour if it works. I'm saying if because the clock showed the same time after unplugging and tripping the breaker. If that still doesn't work tomorrow I'll leave the power off to it longer to see if that totally wipes the memory.

I came here to look it up instead of digging through the manual.

We had the same problem with the clock, it was going too slow. After reading this post we shut the power down to the range for a whole day (note that although you can't use the electric oven, you can still light the burners with a match), then reset the clock by pressing the two timer buttons simultaneously, then the + and - buttons to set the time, release, voila! Right on target now. I think the manual is wrong in saying to touch any two buttons, bc when touching the bell or hand buttons the clock does not get set. Also the AUTO does not flash after, like it says in the manual. Thanks for the tip. Can't explain it, but it works. Love the range. Made a whole roasted chicken using the fan assisted broiler, it was the best. Moist and delicious.

Thanks for the info on the clock! I have had my Evolution for 1 year and never had a problem with the clock until last month. I have even used the program bake whereby you set the oven to come on later. When we came home I was prepared to order pizza, but the roast was all ready!

My temperature is straight on. It bakes to perfection. I agree, Glen Durst at Boce LLC in Wilmington, OH is a great resource. It is a brick and mortar store, not a web appliance outlet.

Hello, does anyone have any advice for this stove? The timer work even when you put it in the off position,the light stays on.
