Kitchen cabinet corner cabinet?

What did you do when your kitchen cabinets turn a corner? Did you do the "lazy susan" thing, make a sharp corner or cut the corner diagonal?

Lazy susan and a spice drawer pull out for the corner base cabinet.

One of the companies, Leicht, I think, has some interesting corner drawers :) Lazy susans work--I have three in the old kitchen, but I'm hoping to do angled cupboards instead. Or the weird drawers :)

Our kitchen turns two corners :-/ One has a corner cab w/lazy susan, the other has a blind base w/Lee Valley pull out (Ikea cabs). If our budget was > and it made financial sense given where we live, I would definitely have gotten a customizable line and installed the angled corner drawers (not the V-shaped drawers).

Will be a HUGE improvement over the corner cabs we had before, where I always had to go hunting w/a flashlight and DH refused to use them b/c it hurt his back too much!

lazy susan, the kind without the pole that sits on a shelf with the hinged ez reach door. we use it for large items...pots and pans. it works well. the wall has an ez reach door as well but cabinets only. i would love a set of funky v shaped drawers, but these were only kraftmaid cabs... kren

We have angled corners and I hate the way they look. It's just a matter of taste, of course, but I will be happy when we get crisp inside corners again. Lee Valley makes a cool corner pull-out thing that lets you use the interior space of the whole corner cabinet by opening one door on one side. I learned about these from orchidluvr's beautiful kitchen on the FKB. So no lazy susan is needed. (I don't like them either!)

Here's a link to Lee Valley's product: blind corner unit

p.s. Lee Valley products are very good quality.

Note that Lazy Susans can have either a diagonal door or a squared corner. My parents have a LS w/a diagonal door while we currently have one w/a square corner.

Our original kitchen design had a LS in the corner and we briefly considered getting a "blind corner" unit instead. However, we felt that if something fell off it would be too difficult to crawl inside and get to. If you get a LS that is "flush" with the cabinet wall, OTOH, it will be extremely difficult, if not impossible, for something to fall out...especially if you use it as an appliance garage. (We have since redesigned our kitchen and we now have a corner prep sink istead...another idea for your, depending on your kitchen.)

I do like the idea of corner drawers and may have gone w/that instead if we still had the corner unit.

    HTH!

My last kitchen had 3 corners ea w/ lazy Susan which I REALLY disliked.

New Kitchen: one lower corner cabinet w/ a right angle & I just put 2 simple shelves in it which I love. All of my seldomed used items are in it; i.e. ice bucket, crock pot, baskets, etc. I just slide things around to get to them.

The upper cab is angled w/ lazy susan & yes I hate it. However, in a smaller cabinets I have 2 -10" Bed, Bath & beyond simple lazy susans for spices, vinegars, etc. Those inexpensive items I love!
