Two different color sinks

We will have two Blanco silgranit sinks. The clean-up sink will be under a window and the prep sink will be on the island. They will be pretty much back to back. Our counter tops will be soapstone, so we thought we would get the sinks in metallic grey. I found a really good deal on the prep sink, so I bought it. That sink is anthracite color, but the deal was too good to pass up, so we figured we would just get the anthracite color for the clean-up sink too. Now I found a good deal on the clean-up sink, but it it metallic grey. (Doesn't that figure!)

What would you do? Get the metallic grey one? Or pay more for a anthracite one to match the prep sink?

save in haste, repent in leisure...

this is a lesson I have learned.

I'd probably look harder for a deal on the clean-up sink to match the prep sink. If you had different countertops on the two the different colors would be less noticeable. Where are you finding your deals?

I think they should match. Most places will negotiate. Have you tried anything local?

It depends on how much the difference will bother you. I wouldn't notice it all that much, especially after the kitchen is finished. I found a couple of great deals on ORB faucets and sprayer on ebay. I wouldn't have chosen ORB, but I loved the style. They're slightly different colors of bronze--it doesn't bother me, I don't even notice it now, and no one has commented on the difference. But if two different sink colors might lessen your enjoyment of your kitchen, pay the extra to get the same color.

    Metallic silver

    Anthracite

I think either, or both, will be fine.

mama g is right. they wouldn't bother me. but, if it will bother you, pay the extra $s.

Sorry, dekeoboe, I mislabeled the metallic gray as silver. LOL, folks will be looking for the brand new Silgranit color I just made up!

Unless there was an aesthetic reason (like different counters), having two different color sinks would bother me. I would continue looking for a good deal on the matching color and if I couldn't find a deal, I would bite the bullet and pay more for the matching sink. But, as others mentioned, it may not bother you. So listen to your instincts.

If you have to ask, it's bothering you. Get the matching sink or you're going to regret it later.

    said it perfectly.

    I agree with Bhelper.

Thanks. We haven't decided yet. My husband said it would not bother him. I'm not sure if it would bother me. We haven't actually seen the two colors together, I would need to find a place around here that have both. I am still researching my options. We haven't pick out our counter tops yet.

I've seen both colors in a showroom. They don't look strange together, but certainly look very different. I don't really like the anthracite color. The black seems somehow not rich or stronge or something. Sorry for the bad description.

I have 2 metallic grays. I had picked the cleanup sink in that color as it went well with my Carrara. When I decided on walnut as my island top, I was faced with a similar decision as you regarding my prep sink. Do I go with a color that blends best with the walnut (the cafe brown Blanco) or match the metallic gray? In the end, I knew two different color sinks would bother me so I went with the metallic for both. I'm not necessarily a matchy-matchy person, but for me it was the right choice. Good luck!

    BTW, LOVE the metallic gray.
