I'm updating my 1980's kitchen - leaving cabs (fresh paint) and counters (pretty tile), replacing sinks, faucets, appliances, light fixtures, new backsplash. In looking at everyone's gorgeous new kitchens, it seems that all the drawers have knobs or pulls. My 1980s drawers have the indentation on the bottom front of the drawers that fit fingers and don't need any sort of pull (hope that makes sense).

My question - for resale purposes, do the plain drawer fronts scream 1980s? Or is this really not an issue? I'm a little hesitant to add pulls as the doors have knobs and the hinges are exposed, so there's lots of metal showing already.

I'll appreciate any opinions you can offer. Thanks!
