When you say decorate, what do you mean? These windows clearly have blinds on them, so are you looking to replace these blinds or are you interested in adding more decorative treatments to them? My first inclination is to do a decorative drapery rod over the entire window/door assembly and do split draw draperies over both the door and window. You would lose the wall space, where the art currently hangs, but you could bring in colors and patterns that would best accent the room. I hope this gets the ball rolling for you.

Yes drapes that would be nice I plan on painting this room as well thanks

Roman shades in a fun pattern would be nice. I have blinds on patio doors like yours in the picture and have found them to be too bulky for a door. The roman shades would allow the transom window to still be a feature. If you want drapes you could add those in a matching or complimentary pattern to the side window. I am planing to make this change to my place because blinds on a door make too much noise and get dirty easy. Even though I am not a professional designer I hope this helps. Good luck!

Yes your comment was very helpful, thank you. I do not like the blinds they are a headache. I need something kid friendly as my son loves messing with all window treatments. It's easier without anything but I don't like the look. Thanks.
