Cost & brick removal

What was the approximate cost for the built-in bookcases?

And, you mention not disturbing the brick work -- but didn't you remove some of the bricks at the bottom? Or did you frame over them?

Also, it's very nice to see a room designed for real people -- rather than one designed for the very wealthy !!!

Thank you for your comments. The bookcase project was approx. 3200.00. We did not remove any of the bricks in our design. The shelves below the brick line were 11" deep and the ones above the mantle line were 13" deep. This allowed us to follow the contour of the walls. It would have been over budget to remove the bricks and unnecessary as well. My clients were very happy with this addition to their room and of course staying within budget.

Thanks for taking time to respond !

I'm planning a project that 's very similar and seeing the photos showing each step has been VERY helpful! A whole lot more helpful than just posting 'before' and 'after' photos.

    More please?
