We bought a 1928 Tudor 3 years ago. The previous owners were from Peru and really worked hard at bringing their love of their culture into the home. Many of the aspects we love such as the plastered walls..but the tile counters and backsplash in the kitchen have to go. They are chipping and cracking and it's a mess. The kitchen is a large galley with cream (off-white) cabinets. I am thinking about going blue pearl for the counter and a blue gray glass subway tile for the backsplash-both of which I love. My main concern is that the kitchen will a.) Look too modern for the home b.) Be too dark and/or c.) won't flow with the rest of the home. Thoughts? I've included pics of the blue pearl, tile backsplash I love and pic of the kitchen
