The kitchen has a lot of light. I think a deep blue or green would be nice.

I'd go with a warm medium gray such as BMoore's Silver Fox. Yummy!

I agree that a warm gray would look great. Gray and yellow look fantastic together and the gray would keep things neutral enough for you to switch out your accent color in the future if you get tired of the yellow. Benjamin Moore has some great grays like Revere Pewter and Stone Harbor, to name a couple.
