Oh, heck, GT, I have one that's gobbling up one whole wall of the house! Who knew these things were next to gourds in their ability to take off and take over?! They must be kissin' cousins.

Mine has taken over the neighbors tree!

This one is at my front entry, it froze to the ground in December 2003, 3 weeks ago during the Monsoon all three trellis were ripped from the wall and fell flat on the side walk. I was never able to get anything to grow here because it gets very little sun. It gets little water, is mostly ignored...gotta love it :)
It is 12 feet wide and 10 ft high.

What garden bench...hehehehe!

Easy

Very, very nice pics of a great plant (and garden!). It's always a treat to see part of your paradise--thanks for sharing the pics. I love the bench and vine.

I just unleashed this in my own little garden about a month or two ago where a non-performing corkscrew vine was growing. The snailvine is already outperforming the corkscrew which was there much longer. I'll show it your pics as inspiration. Lookin' good, no great, as always! :)

Take care,
Grant

Those snails will eat anything! Great looking vine, GT.

hey trolip,

it's always a delite too see pics from your garden. i really like the overgrown, lush look. the vivid colors add another dimension to gardening. as always, thanks for sharing. is that a plumeria i see...LOL

detrick

I just misread this post initially I think. I thought the two pictures GT put up were before and after pictures, and that the snail vine really had EATEN up her garden bench, as the subject suggested. ;0

Easy

I just love the pictures of your yard..GT. Without a topiary in the picture...I did not think it was your yardLOL!

Gorgeous! Nice save from the monsoon :)

So that's what a snail vine looks like when you water it.... huh.
