I thought of Cat last night when I saw the weather. Cat, I hope you get some rain and cooler temps. but now rough weather. Let us know how close Emily will be getting to you.

Yes, we want Emily to stay away, but it looks like the Texas Gulf Coast is going to take a hit somewhere. Hopefully it will go in between Kingsville and Raymondville where there is nothing by ranch land.

And I just hope that it goes across the Yucatan, and then it downgrades to at least a 3. If it stays a 3, we will go into town and stay at our office. However, if it stays a 4, we are getting out of Rockport. And being on the north side of the storm, we will get the bad side. I worry about our pier. We lost it once during TS Frances, and I sure don't want to lose it again.

And I just put on a new canopy on my back deck for hummingbird viewing without sitting in the hot sun.

Collins I will be saying prayers for you. How far are you from the coast?

Thank you. My back door is 50' from Copano Bay, a salt water bay which connects to Aransas Bay, which butts up to the Gulf with only a sand barrier island between them. So all in all, probably about 6 miles in from the open Gulf. Enough to do lots of damage depending on where it goes it.

We have stayed here through a hurricane 2, but anything higher is just too scary.

Thanks Everyone! If it looks like it is coming in as a 3 or 4, we are out of here. I've got a few hummer feeders up now, and I hate to take them down, but I will have to if the storm blows in. I hope the little hummers will take cue and head to safer territory too.
