There is not a manufacturer per se. The siding is a plate steel called Corten. The metal fabricator custom fabbed it for this job. It is 1/8" - 1/4" plate mounted over furring strips. The joints between panels are 1/2" open joints.. There is fiber cement panel siding behind it all which provides the true weather enclosure.

Why did it require open joint between the corten siding?

First aesthetic...the open joints allow the corten to be a visual screen and not the primary weather barrier. To make it a true weather barrier would require battens or some other such detail and the clean panel and reveal appearance is much more appropriate to the material. This was also chosen b/c the owner didn't agree to my recommendation to use the corten until well after construction was underway, so it was just easier to make the fiber cement panel underlay the primary weather barrier and let the corten work as an overlaid aesthetic cladding.

Well, I love the large vertical corten panels next to the narrow, horizontal siding and all that glass. The blue really makes it pop.
