Hello agnesjulia! This product works fairly simply you just have to attach the provided pump and fill the reservoir with 3 gallons of water from top of fountain body to completely submerge the pump. Then you connect the power cord to an outlet and your fountain should be ready for use! Instructions do come with the item. Thank you!
