Exposed beam shed roof

Is it feasible to incorporate a exposed beam shed roof design on a modest renovation budget to a Ballard, WA bungalow? Is there a rough rule of thumb estimate for this type of construction? We are adding a 16x30 addition to our home and I would like to change the roof structure to shed or butterfly.

    Wondering what metal roof product you used here? The slope looks quite low and I've tracked down a Vicwest commercial metal roof that allows 1/4"=1'-0" but am looking for some alternatives as well. Thanks!
