We're getting ready to jettison our Samsung WA400 HE series top loading washer after only 2.5 years of ownership.

Avoid this like the plague.

It's already been repaired due to a major engineering flaw that flooded our laundry room & basement (a $600 repair thank you very little); the hot water only works on the Heavy Duty and lightly soiled cycles; it does a poor job removing dirt from clothing; the bleach receptacle is almost rusted out, leaks and damages clothing; and the latest is that the rinse/spin cycles don't shut off. This latest issue has wasted a shameful amount of water and electricity because these cycles just keep going until you turn off the machine. This happens on every cycle, even the spin-only.

The Samsung customer service has been subpar in addressing these issues, which have been made known to them for years already by angry customers across the nation.

We're going to order a top loading Speed Queen next week. Ironic that the commenter above (apple_pie_order) mentioned this brand as well.

Good luck with your remodel! Just stay away from Samsung washing machines.
