Our new door room

In a very small house (under 900 sqft) there's no room for a hallway. So this is our 'door room'.
Before the door room there was one long giant bedroom with one door, and a bathroom with 2 doors. Nothing was practical, made sense, or looked ok.
Now we have 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with 1 door, and a linen closet.
The best part is I find the door room looks humorous in a cute way, which puts a smile on my face.

Nice doors! My hallways has 5 doors in a span of about 15 ft. It's very common with older, smaller homes.

I've seen a lot of people put full length mirrors in the far doors to make the hallway (or in your case door room) seem longer and to take your gaze off the doors themselves

The doors look great. I agree with Peach on putting in a mirror.. it will make the space feeling large.

    Good luck:)

Thanks guys. I have future plans to change to floor to white stained oak, to look similar to the doors.the mirror could be a future addition. Right now I don't trust a large piece of glass on my sons door. Ha ha you know what 5 year old are like.

A room full of doors - we love it! ;) You could paint them with bright colors to add interest and more whimsy. (Though we like the wood too.)

Glad you're getting some kind of entertainment out of it! I often question the original architects on several homes I work on. In many instances, seriously, what were they thinking?

I think they need creative labels. ??? :)

Great comments everybody. Thanks for all the input. And creative labels? that sound fun. Maybe some preschool family portraits? I'm so glad I posted on here.

Oh ya, it's a small house 816 sqft. No room for anything like hallways. Apparently I live in the 2nd most unaffordable place on earth. Which leads me to working on a sows ear.
