These window treatments are actually stationary. We designed and built them to mimic the traditional New England Bay Window that they hang in front of. Materials are simply 1" x 1/2" strips of wood fastened together to form the grid. The wood is spray painted a flat black. On the window side we stretched a fabric backing. It's really just a sheer so it allows the typical amount of light through that you would expect. They do not open, fold, etc. They are simply hung on a curtain rod which is hidden from view by the valance we fabricated as well.
