If you don't need any storage, then you could use a pedestal sink.

If you want to keep with the traditional look a beautiful square edge pedestal.

Due to the limited space in this bath, I would recommend a wall mounted sink. This will free up square footage and give a bit more elbow room.

You've gotten great advice thus far. It all depends on how you use this powder room, and how much storage you generally need. If it's strictly used as a powder room- ie: powder your nose, wash your hands before dinner etc. then you can definitely do a wall mounted sink or pedestal. If it's used as a guest bathroom- where you may want to store toiletries, hand towels or what have you, then you may want to choose a small wall hung vanity, or a shallow cabinet.

With such a small space consider removing the counter top for a pedestal sink. I'd also change up the wall paper...and with the countertop gone you could change your towel rack too. A nice light colour and change of mirror would be amazing. :)

The half bath is gutted. Would you put the back of the toilet against the window wall?

Lisa, putting the toilet against the window wall would probably look pleasing to the eye upon entry.

But wouldn't that get in the way of installing your sink?

I would hesitate to put the back of the toilet against the window. What is outside the window? Hmmm,.

You might get a bit more "knee room" if you turn the toilet 90 degrees - however check that you have the required 30 inches width (15 on each side of the centerline of a toilet), and depending on how the floor is built and access from below moving the toilet a foot over could be rather difficult and possibly expensive. If you're in a location that can have freezing temperatures run the water like from the toilet from the floor or side wall, not the exterior wall. Looks like the top of the tank clears the window frame so that's one thing not to worry about.

Pedestal sink in any scenario will help greatly, select one that doesn't stick out too much into the room.
