Budget ballpark

I love the NW style you use in your design. I am in the process of getting my funding together for a remodel of a 30x28 bungalow in Ballard. We plan on adding either a 16x30 addition off the back or just go up a floor. I want to transform the look of our boring house into something like this picture with a shed style roof and the combined use of wood, steel, glass and stone. What can I expect to spend on that type of project? Can NW contemporary be "affordable"?

Thanks. I will send you an email. We are currently trying to establish our budget. Our family has outgrown our house so we need to add some sq/ft. My grandfather was a local mid-century style architect with so I grew up with an appreciation that look. I still really love mid-century but generally lean more towards what I consider NW Contemporary. I know my taste and dreams exceed my budget so I want to see what I can do. We are probably working with a $125K-$150K total budget for our project. I attached an image of our house if you want to throw out any suggestions. The footprint in 30' wide by 28' deep.

great!....hope to hear from you soon. we can talk scope and possible phasing if needed, though you should be able to make a significant improvement with that budget....depending on how much you want to accomplish.

I would be very interested to see what design you come up with for this house. I am in the same position with a house that is similar in size.
