Folding screen or hang drapery rod from ceiling and curtain it off.

One way to incorporate is to use black in at least two other places in the room.

You can't. If you don't want to look at it between work-outs, but it in a closet.

Move everything away from it so it does not look like an after thought and like it belongs in the room. Make it fun for you with the window view. Maybe a tv there, too, and a place for a towel and a water bottle.

Yes, don't try and hide it. You like it and you use it so there's no reason to shove it away somewhere. It's a fact of life most of us don't have houses big enough so there's an exercise room, which leaves us with equipment like this in the guest bedroom or at the back of the family room, etc. I cringed when I put my recumbent bike in my living room, but now I call it my Black Horse and don't mind looking at it. :)

Sorry I stand by my suggestion of putting a screen up or a curtain.... Treadmills are ugly and if you want to have a dual purpose guest space, it should be out of view when guests stay over. It CAN be done easily, economically and be aesthetically pleasing.

Hi. Not many agree about the screen idea, and I've only seen them online so I can't say much about quality, but I'll post it anyway fyi. Search under 'double sided room divider'. To me I wouldn't want to think of working out as I prepare to stay the night. I'd rather look at cheap art. We do what we have to do.

Diy with whatever is yours personally with decoupage etc.

I didn't mean it was something a person shouldn't buy. Most of my art is 'cheap' cause that's what I can afford. And I wonder what identically priced art looks best: to me it's been canvas pieces -- no framing to fall apart or glass to break... :)

I would love to see the final result! Working through a similar design challenge...

I will post pictures when it's done. Thanks for the good ideas. I may try a room divider. I liked this. I'm going to get it when the rooms done and see how it looks if I don't like i will return.
