I guess if the undermount is worth the $$$ for granite do it IMO undermount sink would not be worth the money plus I don't like Siligranit sinks anyway.I actually would prefer the Karran.

Guess I should do a search on Houzz re Karren before I rule it out. The installation process with the Formica 180X and Karren is formidable so that's what my opinion was based on. Thanks for answering, gave me a new avenue to look into.

I would tend to suggest Karran sinks if you want an under mount sink for your Formica top. I believe they were the first company to ever modify their sinks to work as an under mount for Formica tops. They are also sort of partnered with Formica in the past. Where Formica's site would direct you to Karran's.

With that being said, you have a lot more options now with top mount sinks than ever before. A lot of companies are making them "fashionable" and really versatile with accessories.

If down the road you plan to sell your house, I would wait and just put in a granite or solid surface top. That's what people want, and look for. It will help sell the home. But if this investment and renovation is just for you, then choose based on your desires/wants/needs!
