Any ideas on how to make this space warm and inviting? I hate the carpet--but my kids love it--so it will stay until they are gone! My grand plan is to knock out the "alter" piece, and make that French doors leading outside--but that's the long term plan. I need short term functional ideas to make this space inviting when friends come over. The sliders are pocket sliders that make the lanai and this space join. Any suggestions are welcome!!
