I would like to know if that is a pleat feature by the vertical contrast

The vertical contrast is not a pleat - I top stitched the band onto the face fabric.

This is a bay with rather large windows - because of the style, I felt it would look better and more proportioned to treat each window separately.

I really love the contrast on this valance! I have a large window, 63" and fabric is 54". I was going to add a banding and a pleat, but this would be an even better, different idea! Thanks

I think that sounds like a good solution. Glad you like. My client wanted something really different and this is what we came up with.
