I would suggest taking the scones off the wall....and go with a combo like this..

I see the problem - you have no room for a console - and I love the lamps - keep those, for sure. First, you need to decide whether what you put on that wall needs to be (or you want it to be) functional or purely decorative. If it's the latter, I made a big (but light) wood frame, covered it with black board and attached free cut leaves in various sizes to make a floral that really pops. A BIG project like that isn't as daunting if the pieces are also big. Of course, there are a number of other unique types of wall decor - a pretty sheet wrapped around a frame or canvas - maybe even with fairy or string lights inside the frame, as I see the plug in, in the photo. On the other hand, if you want it to be functional, anything you put on that wall needs to be pull-down, but a table that folds up onto the wall with something pretty on the back of it - drawing, painting, sheet, whatever - would also work right there......if you're not going to mount the big screen TV there, that is. :-)

If you don't want anything with dimension what about wall covering? There are all kinds of colors and designs and textures.

Beautiful room. But that side does look naked, like you forgot to get something. You need a narrow console of sorts in there.

Thank you, so great to get opinions! Should we paint the wall another accent color? The view of the kitchen is from vantage of standing right in front of the blank wall, it has green island and accents with darker taupe walls. I like ideas of either a narrow console with art/photo above, or a very large , oversized canvas art would be nice if I found something nice. Have also thought of four prints on that blank wall. And then changing the small prints to a large subway text canvas of beaches in our area. Any thoughts?

When it comes to an entry wall hall there are so many different ideas! From one large mirror or piece of artwork to a console to that could hold accessory pieces with space like drawers for keys and such as you enter the home for practical purposes and then something pretty over the console as in artwork or mirrors or even a collage of family pictures. It does depend on the mood you are trying to set as you enter the home. But the choices are many~

I am surprised no one has mentioned a large gallery of photos. I would find family photos and render them in black and white or sepia and frame them in dsrk wood frames like pottery barn. This would be personal and a nice feature as you walk by or enter the family room

This is the 2nd story wall in my open foyer. The pictures were taken by my daughter on our trip to Europe and printed in black & white. I absolutely love seeing this every morning when I pass by!
