The Moreton Bay fig grows naturally from an area north of Sydney, through to north Queensland, so basic warm temperate through to sub-tropical.

It won;t stand frosts when young, but is hardier when more mature.

It is an almighty big tree, in the ground, given space and a lot of years.

I don;t know how cold your winters get, but I suspect if you get snow or continuous frosts, or days of freezing weather, then your plants, being pot-grown, are going to be more at risk and probably not make it.

On the other hand, an outdoors plant (I presume they are on a patio or something?) getting fresh air and sun, isn't going to like being moved into a low-light situation with artificial heat, which can be quite drying.

But figs are very hardy, and if your plant loses some condition, or loses some leaves either way it will probably recover after winter.

You might trying the source of the plant to see if they have suggestions? Otherwise, as I say, try your local forums or write back here if you have more info about your winter conditions.
