White Exterior

I would like to paint the exterior of my house white with black trim but my contractor is really against the WHITE idea; he said it won't last more than 2 weeks and my house will look dirty again. Is that really true? Should I pick another color even though I really like white?

My friend has a white house that showed everything. She recently painted it a craftsman green after 9 years of hating the white. I think it depends on where you live. Question your contractor.
