I guess it really depends what you are looking for.

It is not a great time to plant tulips or other spring bulbs, there are pot plants on offer, and seeds should have some quality seal or something.

A garden friend of mine once bought bulbs in Holland when travelling there (not sur whether Amsterdam or somewhere else),
but her eyes still glaze over when she tells about how little the stall owner charged her for a "huuuuge bag" of tulips.

They grow all sorts of stuff, and most things tend to be cheap. And I guess you cant go wrong if you "order" a few annual seeds or something like that.
