⚠️Online buyers beware!⚠️

This is not the old Bob Wells Nursery...it's under new ownership, and my experience was nothing like I expected.

I paid nearly $300 for two tiny pawpaw trees that were only about 12 inches tall. Both arrived undersized, stressed, and unhealthy.

I contacted customer service shortly after they arrived, sent photos, and asked about replacements. Instead, I was encouraged to keep trying to save them because they believed the trees would recover.

After babying them only one recovered.

The KSU Atwood never did.

I continued following their recommendations, hoping the tree would rebound. When it became clear it wasn't going to survive, I asked them to stand behind what I believed they had led me to expect.

Instead, they pointed to the warranty timeline and denied the claim. After multiple emails documenting the issue, they stopped responding. When I called, the first representative was extremely rude and hang up on me. I called back and spoke with a gentleman who was professional, but the follow up email was still a flat denial.

Customer service isn't tested when everything goes right...it's tested when there's a problem. Based on my experience, this company failed that test.

Don't trust or rely on assurances from this company that it will recover or that they'll "make it right later." Even if you get every promise in writing, and documented...get a replacement, or refund immediately while you're still inside the warranty period.

They'll never get another dollar from me, and I can't recommend that anyone else risk theirs.
