Odontocidium Wildcat and intermediate growth
Hi, I want to know more about Intermediate growth conditions. What does it mean in the summer ? In the spring ? At night ? Many details to know, indeed.
I need some advces now as the plants is growing a new pseudobulb. This plant should grow big pseudobulbs and leaves near one foot long.
The problem is the growth. It start in the spring, littles leaves are growing but, they dont grow and stay all packed whit a very small pseudobulb hiden in the envelopes of leaves;
I put most of my orchids in my little greenhouse in april where the nights are cold in april and mai. In mid-june, i put'em outside untill septembre.
maybe it's the water. Not enough water (and/or fertiliser) during the growth ?
I changed the medium this summer. I remoove the clay pellets and put it on bark and a little N-Zeeland moss and perlite... it seem to be better.

I have fond some informations since january and I try to increase the thermoperiod. I also changed the medium of growth and the size of the pot.
Look at the improvements.
the old pseudobuld that never complete their growth had a new leaf and develop a beautifull psudobuld as the Young pseudobuld have now many large and long redish leaves. look at the next pictures.

I put it in a cool place at nite and I water a every day.
Now, I can think of having nice flowers soon.
And I turn my search on my 2 species of dendrobium. Celadon and red wine dendro and the regular purple blue dendro. Summer is too short here in Canada LOL.
