Got an orchid from my sister many months ago having never grown n epiphyte before. Happy to report the plant loves it's east window above the kitchen sink. It put out a flower spike with 9 flower buds along it and the 1st bloom opened on 11/22. The 1st bloom is still open and looks as good as the day it fully opened, is that unusual? All of the rest of the blooms opened one after the other with the last one opening 3 days ago. Boy that spike is beautiful! And I thought African Violets were fun to grow.
