second ... whats your purpose ..... even something fast growing.. is not going to serve any function for at least a few years ....

third... most things fast to grow.. simply do not stop growing ... most size estimates are at a given point in time.... and in double that time.. they will be twice as tall and twice as wide ....

4th .... is it full sun .. in the parts not under the oak ... you may need two plants ....

which brings me to 5th .... always diversify ... in case some problem comes along.. you dont want your whole project wiped out at once ...

Would Choisya ternate (Mexican Orange) work? Mine grows in sun to deep shade; it even blooms in full shade, although it does not grow as dense as with more sunlight. Growth is fairly quick, but easily controlled to the desired height with occasional pruning. But it depends some on where you are located. In CA this plant is a concern now because of the psyllid that spreads citrus greening disease. The Ag Dept gives it such scrutiny in nurseries that many nurseries have dropped it from their growing list.
