On another note, one of the aloes you gave me a few years back just finished blooming (orange). It and "Jimmie"(?) are both doing very well.

Glad to hear about the aloe, Nelson, and I will reserve an okra for you. BTW, today I was looking at the seeds I had stored in the refrigerator, some I had not planted last year, and there is a package of Okra "Red River" - 8 foot plants with red stalks and red pods. 2014 seeds but refrigerated so I hope to get decent germination. That one is from Sand Hill Preservation Center, a small operation in Iowa that sells heirloom veggie seeds as well as a few flowers and also - an unusual combination - heirloom strains of poultry! I love looking thru their catalog even though no photos. Seed porn!
