Hello, I am new to this forum. We have been co-existing with a nest of bumble bees next to our drive way. We have a beautiful wisteria vine trailing along a cedar rail fence. The bees have nested there for over 15 years. It seems the bees exit about the same time as the wisteria blooms. We do not mow near or weed around the entrance. It seems like the bees and I have developed a nice relationship over the years. We also have milk weed yucca decidous holly and mock orange bush at the end of the bed. My concern is that we had a beautiful elm on the west end of the yard. The tree had to be removed due to storm damage It provide nice shade for the bed I have noticed stress on the mock orange bush. I am worried it may change the micro climate in the area. Anyone wish to give us some tips would be nice.
