So I was bored today and decided to replace 2 of my begonias. They are supposedly a bulls eye variety. They were labeled bullseye, but they have a few differences from the ones that I have seen online. One is my mother plant that I have had for 2+ years and another is a cutting that I took from the previous plant, roughly a year old and growing very well.

The soil they were in was compacted and looking not so good, tons of salt/mineral build up, especially on the mother plant which was in a non draining pot (I drilled some holes in the bottom before I replanted). Leaves were starting to look pale, and they havent flowered on over a year.

The only growing medium i had on me was Miracle Gro orchid mix. My begonias should be happy in this mix correct? I figured this would be fine since it is well draining and fresh. It consists of bark, perlite, and peat.
