My neighbor has one Green Ischia in the ground for three years. I have a potted two year old one grown from a cutting. They both grow vigorously upright and benefit from tip pinching to form lateral branching. The three year old one has not fruited yet, but small fig embryos are beginning to develop as the buds leaf out here in Central Florida. Late bloomer I guess.

Congratulations on your fig purchase! I don't have Green Ischia, but I have similar figs. Verte has a raspberry jam flavor, Bourjasotte Gris tastes more like a strawberry than a strawberry.
