Another

Later in the season, around September/October.

I'd have to look up this cultivar, perhaps someone recognizes it.

A youngish H. serrata 'Preziosa' bloom

A younger version of the no ID posted above.

Preziosa toward the end of the season.

Endless Summer a few days after planting it early May, 2014.

Here are a bloom on the same plant in June, turning pinkish-purple. I think it was from a second flush, but darkening to purple as it opened. The following flushes were numerous and covered but smaller individually. They continued to be a darker purple.

This is a close up from one of the two ES but I don't know which.

Very nice close-up pictures!!! I have never been able to take close-ups like that with my old Kodak digital camera. Thanks y'all for sharing.

Here is my Strawberry Fraise....from July into August.

Just before the end of the season...

..similar to the above... this is paniculata 'Phantom' rising out of the gloom....

That is a nice companion. phlox?

...correct luis,....'Purple Flame'...a more compact type...

'Phantom' is a great hydrangea and should be in more gardens.

Here is a cropped photo of 'Snowflake'

Wow....Snowflakes....so pretty up close! It is an Oakleaf or paniculata? I have not seen these before.

Climbing Hydrangea on my house in 2012...

...and a bit wider perspective.

I used the existing ivy to help train it up to start and it took off on its own from there.

The climbing hydrangea looks great. How old is it by the way?

The ivy looks like it is about to take over the house and windows. It may pull off the siding if you ever remove it though...

Yes, the ivy needed a trim when those pix were taken. The house is Lannon Stone and not siding so it isn't going anywhere.

I got the plant from my brother and it was 4-5 feet tall at the time. That was circa 2000.

Beautiful! Love watching Hydrangeas age!
