Yes. No. Your tree will grow more evenly when not directly under the light by rotating it. If it is directly under a properly designed light/reflector then the light would not hit any new leaves or any that it's already hitting any more or less.

It depends what your light source is, Milehigh. If you're dependent upon just window light, then rotating your citrus would be helpful. If you have additional supplemental full spectrum lights on your tree, then rotating may not be an more advantageous. One of the clues to know if rotating your citrus will be helpful, is if your tree is "leaning" towards the light source (phototropism). Then rotating would be beneficial.

Or if one side has more growth than the other. My trees don't seem to show much phototropism but do flush more on the side that gets more light.

However phototropism is real and I'm sure I'm just a fluke.

I intentionally expose the least even side to the most light to induce advantagous buds. It's been working great and my trees now have (small) branches where they had big open spots. Because of that I have less overall growth than I could have but my trees are no longer unbalanced.
